Meloty Fine Tea

IMG_0639

Meloty is quite famous for its high tea set for a reason.

Both of their savories and sweets are all-you-can-eat. Who could resist?

The furnishing and the ambience are suitable for a leisure afternoon.

They once had a small booth under the stairs. Sadly it’s somehow removed…

IMG_0646

All of their crockeries, both of the crockeries we ate with and those in the cupboard, were made by Narumi.

Narumi is a bone china producer which is appointed by the Emperor of Japan.

A small plate would probably be much more expensive than a meal there….(sweating)

The bottom of our plate.

It’s obvious that the crockeries are all well treated. The colors are still very bright and the patterns are complete.

The colors and patterns of the teacups in Secret Garden are fading.

We ordered Darjeeling and Decaf Ceylon.

IMG_0752

I love their teapot which is pretty trendy. You can steep the tea leaves anytime by pressing the top of the teapot (sorry…I don’t know how to explain but you will figure it out by touching here and there).

IMG_0756

Two levels….humm, I remember the last time we went there, they served three levels of savories and the third plate was scones.

The ground level:P

The second

IMG_0761

Waffle with Ham and Cucumber.

The ingredients are pretty common but they served it fresh. The waffle was still warm. Taste wonderful.

IMG_0762

Toast with Tuna, Cucumber and Tomato

Nice.

IMG_0763

Croissant with Ham and Cheese

Fresh, warm but not crispy enough.

IMG_0764

Cucumber, Ham and Cheese Sandwich

It’s refreshing, Not bad.

IMG_0765

Mushroom Pie

My favorite in the savories but I was a bit full at that time. Couldn’t stuff more than two.

IMG_0766

The pie is very soft and crisp. Love the mushrooms too, smelt so nice.

IMG_0767

Time for the sweets! Strawberry Tart – the strawberries were fresh but the cream was too much.

IMG_0768

A close shot.

IMG_0769

Waitress put many desserts in a tray for each table to choose.

Egg pudding with berries, Tiramisu, Strawberry Mousse and Panna Cotta.

IMG_0771

Strawberry panna cotta.

Love it!

IMG_0770

Blueberry and Pineapple Cheese cakes.

Too full, didn’t try.

IMG_0772

Cream Brulee.

Very small but we don’t mind since it’s all-you-can-eat.

The cream brulee tasted good. I can see lots of vanilla beans at the bottom. Smooth and yummy.

See? There were scones in the past.

IMG_5826

That was the refilled portion. I was having this with four friends.

IMG_5829

The waffle was pizza flavor.

IMG_5830

The tuna toast was the same.

IMG_5831

The mushroom pie before was plump! Very juicy too! That’s the very moment I fell in love with it ha.

IMG_5815

Egg pudding again. Very impressive the first time we tried it.

Green tea tart

The washrooms in Meloty are very well-furnished. I’m wondering how long it has to operate in order to buy back one washroom…

I heard the lady washroom is more beautiful and luxurious. Of course I don’t have the pictures haha

IMG_5833

The food quality in Meloty is very good. The price is cheap in terms of the volume.

We tried their dinner before but they won’t serve dinner anymore unless it’s for catering.

I’m a bit worried they would cancelled the all-you-can-eat high tea set in the future. I certainly hope not.
